Publication Subsidy
( Research Funding Rules for Publication Subsidy Chapter-6)

For monographs, Rs 20,000 or 50 per cent of the cost of production (whichever is less); in exceptional cases a subsidy up to Rs 70,000 may be extended. For periodical publications, up to Rs 75,000 annually; and in exceptional cases, up to Rs 1,00,000 may be provided.

The grant is awarded for publication of the following categories of works related to History:

(i) doctoral thesis;
(ii) monograph and other research work;
(iii) proceedings of a seminar/ symposium/conference;
(iv) critically edited or translated source material;
(v) bibliographical and documentation work;
(vi) periodical publications;
(vii) any other research-oriented work; and
(viii) translation into an Indian language or into English of an important work on History.

4. Dr. Adivesha Thimmappa (Dist. Gulbarga, Karnataka), for the publication of the thesis entitled Swadeshi Movement in Karnataka (1905-1911) (English) (Rs. 20,000/- or 50% of the cost of production, whichever is less).
