Application  for  ICHR  Junior Research  Fellowship

Note :Please read the ICHR Research Funding Rules before filling this form.

  15.   Period for which financial assistance is required

  16.    (i)        Whether the applicant belongs to SC/ST/OBC/Physically Challenged category; if so, a certificate may be produced to this effect.
         (ii)        Whether the applicant has/had applied for financial support elsewhere for the same research proposal. If so, specify funding agency approached.

  17.   Following document where applicable have to be attached by all applicants

         (a)   A certificate from the Registrar of the
University/Head of the Department/Institution of affiliation (same as No. 5) certifying that the institution will accept and disburse the ICHR’s Fellowship, if given. If this cannot be submitted at the time of application, it must be submitted, in the event of the grant of Fellowship, before any moneys towards it are released by the ICHR.
          (b)   (i)  M.Phil./Ph.D. registration certificate
                (ii)  NET qualifying certificate
         (c)    Detailed synopsis indicating the major hypotheses to be tested, a note on the sources to be consulted, a preliminary bibliography, and a chapter-plan. (Note: an advanced bibliography and detailed chapter-plan could be expected from candidates who have been registered for research for more than a year) – 3 copies.
         (d)   Published papers, if any, as at 14 (b)
         (e)   Bio-data, including statement about his own expertise in handling the subject. (Note: the applicant should clearly specify the language of sources that he can read and understand, and submit a certificate in this regard, if possible) – 3 copies.
          (f)  Certificate of Supervisor/Head of Department.

  18.   (To be filled by applicant for Pay-Protection Fellowship only)

          (i)    Name of employer
         (ii)   Post/designation of applicant
        (iii)  Present pay and allowances (Certificate of present salary and allowances from employer to be
attached)
        (iv)  Whether employing institution/organization has provision for study leave, leave for academic pursuits, professional improvement. If so, the reasons why the applicant is not making use of these facilities.

Declaration

I hereby declare that:

   1.   The statements made by me in this form and the documents that are attached herewith are true to the best of my knowledge.

   2.   I have read the rules regarding the award of research fellowships of the Indian Council of Historical Research and I agree to abide by them, if a fellowship is awarded to me. In the event of the fellowship being awarded to me, I shall fulfil all the requirements of the fellowship, and agree to refund to the ICHR all expenditure incurred by me over the fellowship, if the work of the fellowship is not properly carried out or is not completed.

   3.   If selected, I will work on a whole-time basis for the Fellowship and will not accept any other fellowship or assistance or employment except as provided in the ICHR Research Funding Rules.
