The
“Library –cum-Documentation Centre of ICHR” is a leading
information reference centre in the field of Indian
History and allied disciplines.
The Library-cum-Documentation Centre is well equipped
with over 70,000 print reading materials, which include
books, reports, conference proceedings, theses and dissertations
and other valuable source documents. The Library subscribes
to more than 100 national and international journals
in print format and also subscribing many e-journals
from different publishers. Apart from these, the library
has a good collection of microfilms and microfiches
in the concerned subjects.
The Library provides reprographic services to scholars
on nominal charges. During the last financial year,
approximately 22000 exposures were made available to
researchers.
Recently, The Library has purchased about 440 new valuable
books on Indian history, history of Asia and neighbouring
countries and allied disciplines which will be beneficial
to its user.
The library extended reading, reference and consultation
services to about 1600 students/scholars from various
universities/institutions pursuing their studies on
various aspects of historical research during the last
year.
Scholars are welcome to offer suggestions for the improvement
of the Library.
